Welcome to my online teaching portfolio!

With a background in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto, my understanding of learning is deeply connected to movement, teamwork, and student well-being. This foundation has shaped how I approach teaching, valuing hands-on experiences, active participation, and the importance of building strong relationships within a school community.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that students learn best when they feel safe, included, and genuinely connected to the people around them. Learning, to me, is not only academic; it is social, emotional, and physical!

At Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, I have had the incredible opportunity to grow through moments spent building trust with students, supporting them during extracurriculars, encouraging teamwork, and creating spaces where they feel they truly belong. My journey here has been hands-on, relational, and deeply rooted in the everyday life of the school community.

Through classroom learning, coaching, supervision, and collaboration with staff, I have come to understand that meaningful teaching happens in the small interactions, shared experiences, and consistent presence that help students feel safe, valued , and confident each day.

This portfolio demonstrates how I have met the nine learning outcomes outlined in the York University Practicum EDPR 2000U course through my experiences, reflections, and active involvement in the life of the school community.
